Tip of the Week
Airports/porters or bellboys $1 per bag/item
Restaurants 15-20% for good service
Taxis/bartenders/hairdressers 15-20%
I like to leave at least a dollar or two per night in my room for the maid on the morning of checkout. (Obviously, at a deluxe hotel you`d be more generous.)
Check the tab or the room service menu to see if the gratuity is automatically tacked on before you dig into your pocket!
Most luggage stores and larger travel agencies have wallet-sized dollar-to-percentage laminated guides with graphs in various percentage levels. Worth a couple of bucks unless you`re better at math than I am.
