Tip of the Week

Costa Rica, Central America, has many natural and cultural features to recommend it. It`s affordable, diverse, and tourist friendly. The government and currency are stable.

Costa Rica has:

* 112 volcanic craters

* Rainforests, cloud forests, tropical dry forests, and an extensive network of rivers

* Mangrove swamps

* Coral reefs

* White, black and pink shell beaches

* 1,200 species of orchids, 2,000 species of butterflies, and 9,000 species of plants.

* 5% of all the plants and animals on Earth are found in Costa Rica.

From roughing it camping to resorts, lodging is widely available.

Costa Rica spans the Caribbean on the East, and the Pacific on the West.

The capital, San Jose, has the National Theatre, the Gold Museum where pre-Columbian art and jewelry are displayed, as well as the Museum of Art.

Sunscreen, and long pants for the jungle are a couple of "must pack" items!

The water and food is considered safe - use your good judgment!
